Mikael Ålund

 

A designer with his roots in Kalmar who performed his degree project in product design at MATS JONASSON MÅLERÅS in 2008.


The cooperation resulted in a sepulchral monument of cast iron and crystal preserving the handicraft tradition of Småland and Sweden. Its shape looks ahead and takes a long stride from the sepulchral monuments and shapes, which have dominated our cemeteries during the last 70 years.


Because of this innovation the scholarship of Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan was awarded to Mikael in the autumn of 2008.
